Kalirejo village or village consists of three hamlets, among others, dukuh Keposong, dukuh Kahuripan, and Kedungmenjangan Hamlet. Among the dukuh, each has a story of the origin of the history of naming different dukuh.
Empty. It is said that once there was a very smart person and his two friends came to a place. They are named Onggorogo, Rogowongso, and Rogobondo. The place is very fertile, we get a lot of food in the place. At that time Onggorogo spoke to his friends "let's stop, post on this empty land". Ngepos in the broad sense that is where someone stopover when doing the task, it is temporary residence. In this case Onggorogo invites his two friends to stay temporarily in the vacant land. Since the place has not been given its final name, the place is named Keposong, which is now better known by people as dukuh Keposong.
Kahuripan. Kahuripan is one of the hamlets in Kalirejo village which is located between the two dukuh namely Keposong and Kedungmenjangan. It is said that the people living in the hamlet of Kahuripan are smart people, his urip otaknya. "Urip otaknya" in the Indonesian language can be defined as "live his brain", that is, people who are smart, whether it is smart in processing the results of harvest or forward with the mindset. Famous for an area whose people "urip otaknya", then the area is known by the outside community with the title Hamlet Kahuripan.
Kedungmenjangan. Kedungmenjangan is a hamlet in Kalirejo which is located most different from other dukuh, because it is located in the highlands. The road to reaching the accusations is also quite difficult because of the upward path. Because the area is in the highlands then the hamlet there is a kedung. Kedung is a place to accommodate rainwater, its place like a reservoir but smaller. It is said that the kedung is guarded by an old grandfather, because during the dry season many go down to find a drink in the kedung. Menjangan in Indonesian means deer. From the incident the surrounding community often called the area kedungmenjangan.
Of the three dukuh, the dukuh Keposong, Hamlet Kahuripan, and Hamlet Kedungmenjangan, each limited by times. Kali in Indonesian means river. Because of the boundary between the dukuh times, the surrounding community often called it Kalirejo village. Kalirejo is a combination between Kali and Rejo. Kali is a barrier between the three dukuh, while rejo can mean prosperous. So it is hoped that by the name of Kalirejo, the village community can become a prosperous society.
